What is color separation?

Color separation is the process of breaking down an image into the individual colors that compose it, typically for the purposes of print reproduction. In both screen printing (serigraphy) and RISO printing, color separations are made into individual stencils, which, when re-combined through printing, form the finished print.

How much do color separations cost?

Color separation services can be added to any RISO project for a flat fee of $50. Separations can also be purchased on their own, but pricing will vary based on image complexity and the final results desired.
